11 militants, 4 soldiers killed in gun battle in Pak

At least 11 militants and four soldiers were today killed in an exchange of fire between the security forces and the rebels in Pakistan's restive tribal region.
The gun battle took place around Mir Ali area of North Wazirsitan.
A security official confirmed the death toll and said that an officer was among the dead soldiers.
The violence occurred as Pakistan's jets pounded Taliban positions in the same district, killing at least 60 militants.
