11-year-old found dead, villagers protest

The body of an 11-year-old boy, who was kidnapped last week, was found in Bhim Nagar here triggering protests by the family members.
The body of Aman, who was reported missing since last Wednesday, was found by some women in the adjoining fields last evening, police said.
Police, who conducted postmortem on the body, said preliminary investigations revealed Aman was sodomised before he was killed and his body thrown in the fields.
Aman's body was handed over to his father Shiv Lal, a resident of Bihar, who along with his family and villagers, staged a brief dharna at Phagwara Chowk demanding immediate arrest of the accused, Monu, a youth who lived in the neighbourhood.

The dharna was called off after police assured of action.
Aman had last Wednesday left home with Monu, who had taken him to the market on the pretext of strolling. When Aman did not return home, Shiv Lal filed a complaint the next day.
The mutilated body of the boy was found yesterday by some women who informed the police.
A case has been registered against Monu under relevant sections of the IPC and section 4 of the Protection of Children From Sexual Offence Act, police said, adding that a hunt is on to nab the accused.
