Based on a tip-off, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police nabbed Selvam and Ramaswamy from roundabout at Mori Gate yesterday and recovered the huge stash of contraband.
"A case under NDPS Act was registered and they were arrested," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav said.
During interrogation, it was revealed that Selvam, a resident of Tamil Nadu, was induced by one Naidu in Chennai to indulge in ganja trade in Delhi to earn good fortune. Two years back, Selvam shifted to Delhi and used to bring the contraband from Andhra Pradesh.
After arriving in Delhi, Selvam used to supply the narcotic to different drug traffickers here who then sold it to some educational institutes, police said.
Yesterday, he had brought 110 kg ganja from Andhra Pradesh and out of which he had supplied 20 kg to Ramaswamy who was also apprehended with him.
