110 sovereigns gold, Rs 5,000 cash stoen from mechanic's house

: About 110 sovereigns of gold jewellery and Rs 5,000 in cash were stolen from the house of a mechanic at Karumaialikoodal, police said today
The 52-year-old man found the jewellery and cash missing from the almirah when he returned home this morning from his night shift at the Chemplast plant
His wife was away in Andhra Pradesh to see her son, police said.
