118 casual workers regularised in Tata steel

The Tata Steel management and recognised trade union Rastriya Colliery Majdoor Sangh affiliated to Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), today agreed to regularise 118 casual workers engaged with the Tata steel, a union office bearer said.
Negotiation between management and the trade union reached to a decision to regularise the casual workers and convert their service as permanent workers of the Tata Steel who would get all facilities provided by the company to its permanent workers, said Mohan Mahto, branch president of RCMS of INTUC in West Bokaro Division of Tata Steel in Ramgarh district.
Addressing the casual workers in No. 12 chowk in West Bokaro Division under Mandu block of Ramgarh district, he said the management had accepted the demand and workers would be treated as permanent workers of the company.
It was a dream of the casual workers to be permanent workers of the company, which now have come true, said Nirankush Mishra, secretary of RCMS, West Bokaro Division.
