12 candidates file nominations for Kairana assembly bypoll

A total of 12 candidates have filed nomination papers for the Kairana assembly bypoll here, the process for which ended today.
Nine candidates, including Anil Chouhan of BJP and Arshad Hasan of Congress, filed their nomination papers today in Shamli district while the rest of the four candidates had filed their nominations earlier, Returning Officer, Suresh Mishra said.
The polling for the seat would be held on October 15.
