Punjab's Joint Chief Electoral Officer (JCEO) Amit Talwar said Sham Lal Gandhiwadi has filed his nomination papers from Amritsar constituency as Independent.
Two other Independents -- Jagan Nath Bajwa and Rajinder Singh -- filed their nominations from Jalandhar and Ludhiana Lok Sabha seats respectively.
CPI(M) candidate from Ludhiana Sukhwinder Singh Sekhon filed his papers, along with his covering candidate Amarjeet Mattu. Congress nominee from the seat Mohd Naseem Ansari also filed his papers today.
In Patiala, two Independents -- Kamaldeep Kaur and Amrik Singh -- and BSP's Ram Singh filed their papers. Jogga Singh filed papers as the BSP nominee's covering candidate.

A total of 18 candidates have so far filed their papers for the Lok Sabha polls.
Meanwhile, the JCEO said till date a total 2,11,341 licenced arms have been deposited across Punjab. Out of 439 complaints received so far, 266 have already been disposed, he said.
He said as per the Election Commission's new directive every female candidate would be provided an additional female Personal Security Officer.
