"Continuing its drive against human traffickers, Railway Protection Force personnel of Rangiya rescued five boys and seven girls from traffickers," Northeast Frontier Railway Chief Spokesperson Pranav Jyoti Sharma told PTI.
During interrogation, the accused said that they were taking the children to Mumbai for handing them over to some agents in exchange of money against each child.
"They said that they had taken some girls from Assam to Mumbai and handed them over to the agents," he said.
The accused were handed over to Government Railway Police for further necessary action, Sharma added.
