A group of 12 natives of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) were today detained from a village in Madhubani district on Indo-Nepal border after they failed to furnish travel documents, an official said.
"SSB personnel stopped a bus from Nepal at Pipraun village and detained the 12 persons, including five children and three women, from PoK for questioning after they failed to furnish travel documents," Superintendent of Police Ranjeet Kumar Mishra said.
They were trying to go to Jammu and Kashmir from Kathmandu where they had been staying for the past 12 years, he said.
They had taken a bus from Janakpur bus stand after entering into Indian territory where they were identified and detained by the paramilitary forces, he said.
They were identified as Firdaus Ahmed, Sufia, Mushtaq Ahmed, Amina Bibi, Nazir Ahmed, Sumaira, Parvez Ahmed and five children whose identity could not be ascertained as yet, Mishra said.
