12 teams to take part in Durand Cup

A total of 12 teams will be participating in the prestigious 127th edition of Durand Cup football tournament, which will be held on a league-cum-knockout basis from October 20 at the Raia Stadium.
The teams will be divided into four pools and the top teams from each pool will qualify for the semifinal stage. The teams include Dempo, Sporting Club de Goa, Salgaocar, Churchill Brothers, besides Bengaluru FC, Pune FC, Mohammaden Sporting and United Sports Club.
The other sides would include two top teams that would qualify from the qualification stage as also teams of Indian Navy and Air India.

The qualification stage of the tournament is scheduled to commence from October 20 and would end on the October 27. The qualification stage will be played out amongst 16 teams.
