12 wagons derailed; services of 41 trains affected

Twelve wagons of a goods train derailed today between Barara and Keshri stations on the Saharanpur-Ambala section in Haryana, causing massive disruption of rail traffic.
The derailment has affected services of more than 40 trains, officials said.
No injuries have been reported in the mishap, they said.
The derailment has affected the movement of 41 trains in the Ambala division including cancellation and short termination of 11 trains and diversion of 19 others.
Both the lines in the Sharanpur-Ambala route were blocked due to the derailment and the service is likely to be resumed on the section by tomorrow morning, said a senior Northern Railway official.
Amritsar-Dehradun Express, Katra-Rishikesh Hemkunt Express, Jammu-Kanpur Express and Delhi-Ambala passenger service are among the 11 trains cancelled.
The derailment caused diversion of 19 trains which include Delhi-Jammu Shalimar Express, New Delhi-Jalandhar Intercity Express, Mumbai-Ambala Golden Temple Express and Amritsar-Howrah Express.
