"Total 125 cases have been reported positive for H1N1 in the state. The number of deaths from the disease so far is six with 13 districts of the state reporting swine flu," a senior Health department official said.
With 10 new patients testing positive for H1N1 in the state capital since yesterday, the total number of cases have rose to 88, maximum in the state, Dr SNS Yadav, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Lucknow said.
Besides these three, one death each was witnessed in Kanpur, Saharanur and Bareilly districts.
With a sharp rise in swine flu cases in the state capital, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has decided to provide free and prompt treatment to such patients in SGPGI, KGMU and other medical colleges of the state.
Yadav has also directed that availability of medicines should be ensured in government hospitals.
