"From January 1 till March 22, 6,864 samples were tested, of which 2,170 found to be positive. The number of deaths because of swine flu and other complications stood at 75 as on date," a bulletin on swine flu issued by the state government said here today.
It said 13 samples, out of the 45 sent for analysis yesterday, were tested positive for the H1N1 virus.
The government has advised citizens to take precautions such as reporting to hospitals on appearance of early symptoms of the disease like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pain.
