SP (Thoubal) Radheshyam said police, as of now, recovered Rs 17,06,840 in cash and 4.697 kg of gold valued at Rs 1.30 crore.
The law enforcing agency also confirmed that the accused Mutum Gandhi is the leader of the six-member gang which actually looted the bank.
The accused Gandhi is still at large, said SP Thoubal.
Except Gandhi, all other accused including four bank staff are in police custody.
On July 4 last, six individuals forcibly entered a private bank and looted around Rs 2.6 crore in cash and jeweleries.
The private bank is located just half a km from Thoubal police station and 300 metres away from the office of Thoubal Deputy Commissioner.
