143rd birth anniversary or Aurobindo celebrated

People from different parts of the country today paid homage to saint-philosopher Aurobindo on his 143rd birth anniversary today.
People sat in meditation before the memorials of Aurobindo and also his spiritual collaborator 'The Mother' Mirra Alfassa.
Devotees were also allowed to get into the room where Aurobindo had carried on his spiritual experiments.
Aurobindo, who founded the Ashram in 1926, died in 1950, while 'The Mother' passed away in 1973.
