14th Rajasthan Assembly formation notified

Election Commission has notified the constitution of 14th Legislative Assembly in Rajasthan after holding elections on December 1, and declaring results of elected MLAs on December 8.
Notification to this effect was published in the Rajasthan Gazette of December 11, 2013, quoting Chief Election Officer Ashok Jain, a spokesman said.
EC's Principal Secretary Shangara Ram hailed the CEO's efforts for raising polling percentage to 75.2 per cent in the just concluded elections, the spokesman said.
Yesterday, BJP state president Vasundhara Raje, having a majority of 162 MLAs went for polling had met the Governor Margret Alva and staked claim to form the government.
The new Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje would be administered oath of office and secrecy, and constitution on December 13 at Janpath in the background of State Legislative Assembly building.
Over one lakh people, party functionaries especially from district BJP units would watch the swearing-in ceremony.
BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Rajnath Singh, and other top party functionaries are likely to attend and address the gathering from the a special stage erected, party sources said.
The mega swearing-in ceremony would be held between 11:45 am and 2 pm at the North Gate of assembly building amid unprecedented security measures.
