A government spokesman says at least 15 people were injured, four of them with bullet wounds, during a protest between opposition parties and security forces in Guinea's capital.
The clashes are the latest in the ongoing fight between the country's opposition and the ruling party over the details of a much-delayed parliamentary election.
Albert Camara, spokesman for the government of President Alpha Conde, said in a statement today that the four people wounded by bullets were shot by "unidentified sources".
In addition, he said that nine were hit by pelted rocks. He claimed that the opposition had come to the march armed with knives and projectiles and had attacked security forces as well as public property.
Opposition leader Cellou Dallein Diallo accuses Conde's government of "degenerating into a dictatorship".
