15 Jharkhand workers to return from Saudi Arabia

A senior Jharkhand government official today said that the Ministry of External Affairs has told a agency which had send 15 workers of the state to Saudi Arabia to make arrangements for the return of the workers.

The principal secretary to Chief Minister, Sunil Kumar Barnwal, said M C Luther, the Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, has directed the 'Career Line Agency' of Mumbai to make a safe return of the workers send by the agency.

The 15 workers went to Saudi Arabia through Career Line Agency, an official release said here.

These workers have complained that they are not being paid salaries for the past eight months in Saudi Arabia and they are also being "tortured".

Jharkhand Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Chandra Prakash Chaudhary had requested Chief Minister Raghubar Das to help bring the workers back from Saudia Arabia.

The chief minister had told the state government officials to take up the matter with the External Affairs Ministry.
