At least fifteen persons, including six police personnel, were injured when a mob of irate villagers staged a protest at the Samdari police station in Barmer district today demanding immediate action in a murder case, police said.

The mob burnt tyres, blocked the road and pelted stones at the police who were trying to remove them from the area, the SP said, adding that 15 persons, including six policemen, were injured in the incident.
Three of the six injured policemen were referred to a hospital in Jodhpur, while others were taken to local hospitals, Sharma said.
A case would be registered and those accused of indulging in violence would be arrested, he said.
Barmer District Collector and SP are camping in the area to supervise the law and order situation, which was said to be under control.
