15 vehicles involved in pile-up due to fog near Kurukshetra

About 15 vehicles were today involved in a pile-up due to dense fog at different places close to Shahabad Markanda on the GT Road near here, leading to a temporary blockade on the route, police said.
The vehicles rammed into each other near village Dhantori on the GT Road in which one truck over-turned on two cars, they said.
However, the passengers escaped without any major injuries, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Darshan Singh said.
Traffic on the road remained blocked for quite some time till a team of police managed to get the damaged vehicles off the road, he added.

Notably, dense fog over the past few days has hit normal movement of vehicular traffic at many places in Haryana and neighbouring Punjab.
