15-year-old raped by neighbor in Faridabad

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbor in Rajiv Colony Ballabgarh of Faridabad, police said today.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Rizwan, they added.
The complaint filed by the girl states that Rizwan is the resident of the same locality as the victim and was her brother's co-worker.
Victim's brother and Rizwan became good friends and Rizwan started coming to their house frequently, police said.
On July 11, the minor was alone at home and was sleeping when Rizwan came there. He tied her mouth by her scarf and raped her, they said adding that he later fled away from the house.

After her mother returned from market the victim narrated the incident to her. Her family tried to search for the accused but failed.
A complaint was filed with the police and a case was registered with the Police Station Sector-55 Faridabad under IPC section 376 and section 4 of POCSO yesterday.
The police have started investigations in the case, said investigating officer ASI Rajkumari.
