16 buses added to cluster service

With induction of the new fleet, the total number of buses under the cluster service has gone up to 316.

The new buses, which were flagged off by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, will operate on route no 405 which connects Badarpur in South Delhi with Mori Gate in East Delhi.

The new buses, part of cluster two, will ply from Badarpur and go through places like Bhogal, Nizamuddin, Pragati Maidan, ITO before terminating at Mori Gate.

The semi low-floor orange coloured buses have an on board passenger information system similar to that of Delhi Metro, GPS and electronic display board.

All buses have an in-built speed governors to regulate their speed and they comply with the urban bus specifications notified by Ministry of Urban Development.

In 2009, the Delhi government had divided nearly 650 bus routes across the city into 17 clusters -
