Around 160 Pakistani pilgrims are not likely to pay obeisance at Rouza Sharif Urs at Sirhind near here.
The pilgrims will not reach here this time as they could not get visa, Fatehgarh Sahib Station House Officer (SHO) Harjinder Singh said here today.
Usually a delegation of Pakistani pilgrims reach here a day before the annual Urs, but they could not reach today, a functionary of Rouza Sharif said.
The three-day annual Rouza Sharif Urs will start from tomorrow at the tomb of Sufi saint Sheikh Ahmad Farooqui in Sirhind, considered one of the holiest places in Islam, second after Mecca.
Large number of Muslims from various parts of the country will come to attend the Urs, the SHO said.
Meanwhile, the district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the holding of the Urs in front of Baba Moti Ram Memorial Trust building near Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib.
Rouza Sharif's Khalifa said special arrangements have been made for boarding and lodging of pilgrims, including a community kitchen.
Rouza Sharif is situated on the Fatehgarh Sahib-Bassi Pathana road and the shrine, built in 1929, is in the vicinity of the Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib.
