166 recruits join BSF after training

A total of 166 recruits were today inducted into the Border Security Force (BSF) here after completing 34 weeks of training.
The recruits passed out from Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) of BSF at Udhampur, 65 kms from here, today.
The attestation-cum-passing out parade, commanded by Recruit Constable Sorabh Kumar Dubey, was the culmination of the rigorous basic training, which has equipped the recruits for performing duties on border and in counter insurgency operations.
Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal, Commandant STC BSF Udhampur, who was the chief guest on the occasion, congratulated the training staff as well as the recruits for putting up a commendable performance in the parade.
In his address, he emphasized on the importance of hard work, dedication and high degree of integrity while discharging duties on the border as well as in counter insurgency operations.
He told the recruits that they are the first line of defence for the country and it is their primary duty to ensure the sanctity of the borders.
Constables who showed outstanding performance during the tarining were awarded medals by the chief guest.
