Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today said that under the scheme of Special Industry Initiatives for Jammu and Kashmir known as 'Udaan', the Project Appraisal Committee, has approved the proposals of M/s IYogi to train 5742 graduates, M/s Accenture to train 3300 candidates, M/s 247Inc to train 6000 candidates and M/s Ligare Voyages Limited to train 2000 candidates over a period of five years.
"11 corporates are visiting J&K for selection of candidates from 19th April to 4th May, 2013. These companies include Iyogi, Rooman Technologies, Religare, TCS, 247inc, Accenture, Infosys, Bajaj Alliance, Learning Links, Canara Bank and ONGC," he told a press conference here.
Home Ministry officials said more than 100 educated youth from Jammu and Kashmir were so far employed in corporate sector and 100 more are in the process of getting jobs across India under the scheme.
Home Ministry sources said those who got jobs so far are mostly in software companies, BPOs and companies affiliated to Confederation of Indian Industries while private banks and public sector enterprises have promised to hire 100 trained youth.
