However, the accused managed to escape from the spot, leaving his car behind, police said.
According to police, during patrolling last night, a car bearing Delhi registration number was noticed by two constables on duty.
When they signalled the car to stop, the driver sped up and fled towards Hastal Vihar area of Uttam Nagar, they said.
"The car was stopped in the area, but the accused fled from the spot," DSP, west district, Ranvir Singh said.
18 cartons of Haryana-made liquor were found in the car, which was found to be registered in the name of Satish, a resident of Najafgarah area, the DSP said, adding that he would be nabbed soon.
