18 injured as vehicle falls into gorge in J-K

At least 18 people were injured, four of them seriously, when the vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge in Ramban district of the state this afternoon, police said.
The vehicle which was on its way to Banihal from Khari, skidded off the road and fell into the gorge near Chamalwas in Banihal tehsil of the district, SSP Banihal Javid Ahmed Mattoo told PTI.
"The injured were shifted to district hospital Banihal from where 12 of them were shifted to Srinagar," SSP said adding that the condition of four was stated to be critical.
