18 members of Maoist militia surrender in Visakhapatnam

In a major blow to the Naxals, 18 militia members of the banned CPI (Maoist) surrendered before the Superintendent of Police (Vizag rural) Vikram Jeet Duggal at the district police headquarters here today.
Duggal said these members hailed from Kothabancha village in GK Veeedhi mandal
All of them had been forced to join the Maoists at gun point, and they were fed up with the life in the Naxal movement, he claimed.
