183 people killed in road accidents in Rampur this year

As many as 183 people were killed in road accidents in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh this year, according to police.
Total 342 road accidents were reported in the district between January and October this year, in which 183 people were killed.
According to Rampur Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada, the number of fatal road accidents was high due to frequent violation of traffic rules.
The residents of Rampur, however, claimed that apathy and neglect on the part of the police were primarily responsible for such high casualties.
