19-yr-old labourer dies after falling from construction crane

A 19-year-old labourer died after falling from a crane atop the tenth floor of a SBUT redevelopment prroject in Bhendi Bazaar area in South Mumbai today.
The incident took place at 5 pm when the labourer, identied as Pintu Yadav, fell down from the crane and died on the spot," said DCP (Zone I) Manoj Kumar Sharma.
Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust (SBUT) has given the contract for redevelopment of the building to a private contractor.
A case of negligence under section 304 (A) of the IPC has been registered against the site supervisor, the DCP said. No arrest has been made yet.
