1st 'International Raksha Bandhan' festival on Aug 17: RSS

A first-of-its-kind International Raksha Bandhan festival will be organised here on August 17 which will be attended by intellectuals and representatives from nearly 40 countries, RSS leader Indresh Kumar said today.
"I want to inform that on August 17, a day before Raksha Bandhan, an International Raksha Bandhan festival will be organised at the Talkatora Stadium," he said.
The senior RSS leader made the announcement during a symposium, organised here by Vishwagram Trust, titled 'Peace, People and Possibilities in Kashmir'.
"You all are invited to first International Raksha Bandhan festival," he told the audience at the two-day event that concluded today.

"It would be amazing, unique and true," he said.
"Representatives from more than 30-40 countries and intellectuals, litterateurs and people like you and I will be attending in the event."
Kumar said, "Raksha Bandhan is a festival which can provide way for answers to many global problems."
"This would be a successful experiment and don't come alone, bring along your children and others also," he added.
