Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said 228 cases have been booked in this regard till November 15.
He said following steep rise in prices, central government had asked states to take action as per Essential Commodities Act 1955, following which it had issued an order fixing hoarding limit, and raids were conducted in accordance with it.
Rao claimed that the action taken by the government has helped common man, adding, last month there was about Rs 30 decline in prices. He was replying to a question raised by Sudhakar K (Cong) during question hour.
After Maharashtra, Karnataka is the second largest producer of pulses in the country.
