Two men, who were absconding after robbing the house of an iron merchant in Nehru Nagar last year, were arrested, police said today.
Four of the six burglars were arrested in February this year, they said.
Senior superintendent of police Vaibhav Krishna said yesterday police arrested two suspects from the intersection of the Rajnagar extension after receiving a tip-off.
The suspects were waiting for a public conveyance to Haridwar, Uttarakhand, police said.
They were identified as Sanjay and Naveen and have confessed to robbing the house of iron merchant Narendra Kumar Agarwal, along with their four accomplices, they said.
The gang had robbed Agarwal's licensed pistol, cash and gold and silver ornaments.
A major part of the booty was recovered by police after the arrest of four members of the gang named Surendra, Mahaveer, Dharampal andAshok.They were lodged in the Dasna district jail since February 22, police said.
Police have recovered one country-made pistol, four live cartridges, three watches and other documents of bank and insurance company, the SSP adding, that they have been sent to jail.
