: Two people were on Friday arrested for their alleged involvement in the abduction and killing of a TRS leader Nalluri Srinivas Rao last month, police said.
The two, identified as Jeedigunta Sateesh and Sodi Unga, were spotted during a vehicle-check by the police near Anjanapuram hillock in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, a press release said.
On seeing the police, the two took to their heels and were caught after a hot chase.
During interrogation, the accused said they were involved in the murder of Srinivas, a police official said, adding that a search was on for the other accused in the case.
The TRS leader was abducted by Maoists from his house on July 9 in the district and was found dead on the state's border with Chattisgarh on July 12.
