Two days after a 22-year-old man was allegedly shot dead in front of his two friends by a few men after his car scrapped a cart in southeast Delhi's Ambedkar Nagar area, police have arrested two accused while the rest were still on the run.
The victim, identified as Aman, was on his way to market with his friend when his car scrapped a cart on September 28, said Romil Baaniya, DCP (Southeast).
The cart vendor had a minor argument with the people in the car but later a few bystanders came and started quarrelling with the trio in the car, he added.
The bystanders allegedly dragged Aman out of the car and shot him, police said.
They fled from the spot and Aman's friend informed the police.
The incident was captured in CCTV cameras installed in the area and on the basis of the footage from those cameras, the culprits were identified.
Two of the culprits have been identified as Shivam and Johnson and have been arrested, police said.
Both of them are residents of Dakshinpuri and had personal enmity with Aman. "The motive of the murder will only be known after the other accused are arrested," said a senior police officer.
