They chose to rob the jeweller as they thought that the elderly man would be an easy target. They had been following the jeweller for the last few months and had gathered details about him, a police official said.
The body of Ravinder Kapoor was found in his shop on April 30 with his hands and legs tied and mouth shut with a tape. The accused had chosen to kill him on Sunday since they were aware that very few staff would be present in the shop then.
In the footage, four persons were seen entering the building just before the time of incident. The footage was shared with shopkeepers and resident of nearby areas.
After zeroing in on one Sanjay, a trap was laid and he was nabbed along with his accomplice Sahil from Sonipat in Haryana, the officer said.
