2 arrested with brown sugar

Two persons were arrested and brown sugar worth Rs 6 crore was recovered from their possession at Mugalsarai railway station in Chandauli district here, police said today.
Akbar Sheikh and Muhammad Kurban Sheikh were arrested last night from platform number six of the station with three kg brown sugar, they said.
The recovered consignment is worth about Rs six crore in the international market, police said.
During interrogation, the duo revealed the name of the person who used to supply them the drug which used to be later taken to Bareilly and New Delhi for sale.
