2 Bangladeshi men held in Malegaon, sent to police custody

Two Bangladeshi nationals, who were arrested on Monday for alleged suspicious movements in Malegaon town of Nashik district, were sent to police custody, police said.
The accused, identified as Mohabbat Ali Karim Matabbar (48) and Jiyajul Runjit Khan (28), residents of Madaripur district of Bangladesh, were remanded to police custody till December 19, after being produced in a court here yesterday, V J Takale, Assistant Police Inspector of Azad Nagar police station said.
The duo was staying illegally in Malegaon for the past 15 days and moving around on the pretext of selling saris. They had rented a space in Shivaji Nagar in Malegaon-camp locality, posing as sari-sellers hailing from West Bengal, he said.
The police suspect that some accomplices of the accused might be operating in the town, he said.
A case has been registered with Azad Nagar police station and further investigation is on, he said.
