Bharatiya Vidyarthi Morcha National Incharge Vilash Kharat, along with his supporters, met district magistrate Rajmani Yadav at his office with an application seeking permission to hold peaceful protest on the day of the PM's visit to his Lok Sabha constituency.
The district magistrate was surprised and called the cantonment police which took Kharat and another leader Vijay Bharati under its custody.
Their move pertains to creatinglaw and order problem, which amounted tobreach ofpeace.
The DM said that as a precautionary measure Kharat was asked to give a guarantee that he and his supporters would not cause any law and order hindrance on the day of PM's visit.
Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) Akash Kulhary said that the duo were booked under section 151 of IPC.
They were released on personal bonds after a few hours.
