The Information & Broadcasting Ministry had filed a complaint with the BCCC, which is the self regulatory body of broadcasters, regarding the programme - Dead Zone - shown by Prime Big CBS at 8.56 pm on December 1, 2012.
The complaint said the channel had shown scenes involving a man and woman which "offended good taste and decency". The ministry also said that the programme was shown at a time when a large number of children watch TV.
Finding its content violative of the programming code, the BCCC asked the I&B ministry to issue a warning to the channel. It also ordered it to run an apology scroll in large and legible fonts, every two hours for a period of seven days.
In the other case, the BCCC received a complaint related to programme 'Qubool Hai' on Zee TV. It was alleged that the programme showed violence against women. The complainant mentioned that in an episode aired on February 28, an elderly woman was shown as being tortured in the show.
