2 charred to death in blaze at fireworks unit

Two persons were today charred to death and a few injured after a fire broke out at a fireworks unit in Ezhayiram Pannai here, police said.
The bodies of the two were recovered. It was not immediately clear how many were injured or how many workers were there in the unit at the time of the blaze, they said.
Some sheds of the factory were razed to the ground and fire department personnel were trying to rescue those trapped in the factory, police said.
The cause of the fire was being probed, they said.
