A Chinese investor has sought police help in Pakistan claiming that he and another businessman were thrashed by his Pakistani business partner over a sour hotel deal here.
Liu Xiao Long, in his application to the interior ministry, has alleged that Ishtiaq Ali thrashed him and another Chinese man on Sunday in Islamabad's F-7 sector.
Liu claimed that he had entered into a deal with Ali and they set up a hotel. He paid Rs one million as security deposit to his Pakistani partner.
However, when the business did not succeed as per the expectations, Ali got furious, he said.
He said Ali was constantly pestering him with demand to pay money as part of his share, which he could not as the business was slow despite his sincere efforts.
Liu said Ali on Sunday came with a group of men and beat him up. They also assaulted a Chinese businessman Liu-Weixing staying in their hotel.
