Two bogies of an empty freight train today derailed near Lalpur village here which led to disruption of rail traffic for several hours.

The incident occurred at 6.05 am when the empty train was on its way to Jhansi from Kanpur, North Central Railway (NCR), Public Relations Officer (PRO) Amit Malviya said.
Two bogies of the train derailed due to a technical snag following which the driver pressed the emergency brake and stopped the train, he said.
