Two police officials were attacked in separate incidents in the city in the last 24 hours with law enforcement sources today saying that a person has been arrested for his alleged involvement in one of the cases.
In one of the incidents, ASI Rajesh Meena and his driver were attacked by some miscreants at a bus station while they were on patrolling duty at midnight last night.
The duo were badly injured in the attack and had to be taken to a hospital.
The second case involved an attack on DCP (Balesar) Himanshu Sharma, who was intercepted and roughed up by some miscreants.
Police, meanwhile, said that one Ramras Jat, a man in his 30s, has been arrested for the attack on Meena and his driver.
A senior police official said that all the assailants involved in either of the attacks had been identified and would soon be arrested.
"We have identified almost all the assailants involved in these incidents and will catch them soon," he assured.
Two weeks back, ACP (Mandor) Sunil Panwar had a close shave when some miscreants fired on his vehicle near Benar on the Jodhpur-Jaipur highway.
