2 dead, 20 injured as vehicle rams into house

Two middle-age women were killed while twenty others suffered injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a house in Sondihri village on Kewad-Koderma road under Birni police station in Giridih district today, the police said.
The victims were all relatives and were going to take part in a function when the incident occurred, they said.
The driver of the vehicle lost control and rammed into a house, killing the two women on the spot while injuring 20 others, the police said.
The dead were identified as Shanti Devi (55) and Devanti Devi (50) while the injured included nine children, they said adding, the injured were shifted to hospitals in Ranchi and Bokaro.
