2 dead in Mexico small plane crash

Mexican authorities say a pilot and a passenger are dead following the crash of a small plane in the Gulf coast state of Veracruz.
The Civil Aviation Office said the Mexican-registered plane took off from the northern state of Nuevo Leon today, and crashed the same day in the mountains of Veracruz, just short of its intended destination, the state capital of Xalapa.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
