2 drug peddlers held

Police today claimed to have busted a gang, which used to supply spurious drugs to local chemists, and arrested two persons including the kingpin.
Police also seized six boxes of banned drug spasms- proxivon (8,640 capsules), two boxes of microlit (10,000 tablets), one box of lomotil (4,900 tablets) and 150 tablets of equilibrium and also impounded the car used by the accused.
During a routing patrolling, ASI Kishan Chand spotted a car coming from Baddi side which turned away on seeing the police team. The police chased the vehicle and intercepted it.
During the vehicle search, the drugs were recovered and the car occupants Chandan Jain and Baldev Singh were arrested, police said.

Chandan was the kingpin of the gang, which was active in Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh area, they said.
