Police said six persons, who came on motorcycles, allegedly entered the houses of the victims last night and attacked them.
Rathish (30), a Democratic Youth Front of India activist, received injuries caused by sharp weapons, while another DYFI activist, Yousuf (31), suffered an injury in stone-pelting, police said.
The attackers fled soon after the incident and a hunt was on to nab them, police said, adding that the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and their condition was stated to be stable.
