Two persons are feared to have drowned after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a river near Gandoh area here.
The incident took place near Bhatyas on Thatri Gandoh road, around 55 km from Doda district, a police officer said.
The Maruti van was on its way to Thatri from Gandoh when the driver lost its control over it due to inclement weather conditions and it fell into the river which was already flooded, he said.
The two passengers of the vehicle have been identified as Arshad Rather, a local, and Arshid, a resident of Bihar.
Local residents and police have launched a rescue operation to trace them, the officer added.
