2 gangsters held

Two members of a gang from
Jharkhand were arrested today for allegedly trying to extort money from businessmen in Odisha's Sundargarh district.
The two, identified as Sukdev Pradhan (40) and Agreta Minz (35) of 'Jharkhand Badshah' gang, were arrested in Hatibari area, said Officer In-Chareg of Hatibari police station, Akash Sahu.
The duo who along with some accomplices had entered into Sundargarh from Jharkhand had demanded Rs 10 lakh from a brick kiln at Kindrikela owned by two brothers, he said adding one of the brothers filed a complaint with the police.
They were demanding the money for over a month and police finally laid a trap today when the duo approached one of the brothers and arrested them, Sahu said.
Police seized a countrymade small arm, two cartridge and two motor cycles from them.
Two other accomplices escaped back into Jharkhand, he said.
